Banquet venue: “Tesla's lost London laboratory”
Celebrating the first PELS Day and a combined vision for wireless power with MTT and PELS in a Tesla themed banquet!
Tesla's European travels have been well documented. In his 1919 publication 'The True Wireless' [1] he mentioned a disappointing visit to Heinrich Hertz in Karlsruhe. Legend has it that he used his secret London laboratory as his 'base camp' for his European travels. It is only recently that the whereabouts of this secret London laboratory, where he developed impressive high-voltage generators, have become known. We are extremely pleased that we have been able to arrange for the WPW2019 conference banquet in Tesla's secret laboratory on Power Electronics Society (PELS) Day. Legend also has it that his laboratory is kept in the state he left it during his last visit to London...
